Skein softening tutorial:

Red heart has always been my favorite. It’s so versatile and it has so many colors to chose from. It is perfect for kids and babies because of its ability to be infinitely washed over and over as well as its amazing durability. It’s no lie that it’s not softest yarn, But there is hope! Check out this awesome yarn softening tutorial HERE by A Girl And Her Needle. You don’t even have to undo the skein to do it!!!! Did I mention you don’t need to make a project to soften the yarn!?!?!?!?!!

Day 8. Don’t Be Jelly. Toddler beanie.

Here is the latest design from RRC!

My son has been begging me for a Green hat. I ended up making it sizable for ages 1-3 years. So it fits his brother too. He even named it himself. He said it looked like a jellyfish. It’s also green. The color of jealousy, which is a very relevant lesson for my three year old, now that his younger brother is almost as fast as he is when getting a toy!!! So we tell him when he gets jealous to “don’t be jelly”. It works half the time. Anyway I hope you enjoy this fun and easy beanie I came up with.

Day 6

Crochet Baby Turban by This Mama Makes Stuff.

This FREE pattern can be found HERE.

What a cute little pattern. Turbans are my favorite hat to crochet. Most of the time. I know purple was the perfect shade to use in Red Heart with love solids. I can’t stress enough how fast this is too work up. Twenty minutes maybe? I also washed it in draft to soften it and make it baby ready.

Cabbage patch kid newborn beanie review. (Dearestdebi)

An old friend from high school is pregnant!!! Her mother requested a cabbage patch wig for her baby to wear of course :). A family of beautiful brunettes, I went with red heart super saver dark brown. The pattern is free, and can be found HERE.http://dearestdebi.com/crochet-cabbage-patch-kid-newborn-beanie credit goes to dearest debi.
The pattern was really fun. I had never used the loop stitch before. I read a lot of people don’t like the loop stitch.

Personally I am huge fan and I plan on making the boys version of Dearest Debi’s wig too! It’s made up of loads more loop stitches. That FREE pattern can also be found HEREhttp://dearestdebi.com/crochet-cabbage-patch-kid-newborn-boy-beanie.

I really loved making this. It took me no time at all. I do plan on making more. That fun loop stitch is addictive!
